Dr. Patrick Muffley is a board-certified obstetrician gynecologist (ob-gyn) at Embody Wellness Obstetrics & Gynecology in Columbus, Ohio. A specialist in urinary incontinence and minimally invasive surgical procedures, Patrick Muffley has practiced in a variety of settings for close to a decade. A native of Ohio, Patrick Muffley completed his medical training in state, receiving a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1997. The recipient of numerous academic awards and scholarships, Patrick Muffley was on the dean’s list in both his undergraduate studies and in medical school. Furthermore, the primary care paper on myofascial pain syndrome that Patrick Muffley wrote while studying was chosen as one of the top ten student papers in Ohio in that year. Patrick Muffley also served in the U.S. Navy while studying medicine, and consequently, Patrick Muffley’s residency and first position were with the Navy. From 2001–2002, Patrick Muffley was the Department Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology for the U.S. Naval Hospital in Keflavik, Iceland. For his work in the Navy, Patrick Muffley received numerous commendations before being honorably discharged in 2004. Starting that same year, Patrick Muffley began working in private practice, and Muffley has held positions at clinics and hospitals in Ohio, Montana, Virginia, and Oklahoma. As of 2012, Dr. Patrick Muffley has created Embody Wellness Obstetrics & Gynecology in Westerville, Ohio, a clinic focused on minimally invasive treatment. In addition to his clinical work, Patrick Muffley is an avid researcher. Patrick Muffley has collaborated with other authors to publish several journal articles and book chapters on topics related to obstetrics procedures and cesarean birth. Dr. Muffley has also given numerous presentations on topics related to women’s health. A member of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, as well as the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, Dr. Patrick Muffley strives to provide the best and most appropriate treatment in a minimally invasive manner.
